Located atop The Republic Hotel in the CBD is Taylor’s. It’s a rooftop bar with side lane entry, look for the bouncer – you then climb up about 2 floors (the stair well is covered in Anthony lister artwork) and you’ll find your way to a Sydney’s newest rooftop bar, restaurant and cocktail venue. Taylor’s is a good mix of pub and roof bar and look up to see the buildings along bridge street surround you.
A few shots around the venue. There’s a retractable awning that can slide out to cover the roof should weather be inclement. While we visited and had gin and tonics, Taylor’s DJ was playing his set – a good techno mix that had dancin dad boppin along. One of the central features of Taylor’s is the greenwall that’s here it covers a large part of one wall and wraps up the other side. We also noted the presence of Carlton Draught fresh and unpasteurized beers. So here’s another venue you can get this at.
