William Grant and Sons has launched their 23 year old Kininvie whisky into Australia and threw a “night of whisky” and provided tasting to some of Sydney’s spirits and bar enthusiasts at Darlinghurst’s exclusive members only smallbar Magazin. Magazin is part of one of the many bars owned by Martin Sullivan. Its notoriously has a no photography policy and it is this elusive spirt that drew the kininvie showcase to launch here.

The Kininvie 23 year old whisky has hints of vanilla, toffee apples and caramel. The colouring is from a period of maturation in American Oak (ex-bourbon American Hogshead). The aging of the 23 year old has result in a darker richer finish from the whisky also. Smooth and delicius.
