Tios is located in Surry Hills – 4-14 Foster St. It is a mexican themed smallbar; with canteen styled seats; candle wax on the walls; and what seems to be stuccoed/painted surfaces.
The inside is dim, with hanging lights over the bar counter that creates a suitably “mexicana” dive bar feel. Think ShadyPines’ cowboy cool but decorated by someone who shops at HOLY KITSCH. The drinks menu is tequila centric and quite good in a variance.
After you’ve placed your order; the bar guys who are chummy will give you a nice bag of popcorn (AND ITS FREE)to munch on while you wait for the drinks.
Fairly centrally located, near BARH + The Hollywood and a short walk to the always excellent El Loco – well worth visiting.
