This Saturday 28 March. 2015, Tim Ho Wan (that Michelin Star) Yum cha joint will open in Chatswood’s ‘The District’ precinct and bring to Australia their Michelin Star winning yum cha options.  The menu is an exciting array of their classic dishes; get in fast as it operates very much on their first come, first served practice.

THW Menu. It all looks incredibly good.

Expect Chef Mak Kwai Pui’s famous delicacies, with Acting EC Eric Koh in the kitchen, dishes from their menu of 25 freshly made to order dim sum treats. And yes, that well-loved Baked Pork Buns – a crumbly, barbecued pork bun with an oozing sauce interior and a sweet-salty taste will be there to greet your expectant tastebuds. The Baked Pork Buns are part of their ‘Heavenly Kings’, which include the Steamed Egg Cake, Vermicelli Roll with Pig’s Liver and Pan-Fried Carrot Cake.

Tim Ho Wan founded by former Four Seasons Hong Kong dim sum chef Chef Mak Kwai Pui holds a coveted Michelin star at each of its three Hong Kong outlets. Chef Mak Kwai Pui will travel downunder to officiate the grand opening in May and ensure the highest quality dim sum per the Tim Ho Wan Heritage.

Tim Ho Wan Chatswood is the first outlet outside of Asia. Burwood outlet in the third quarter of 2015 and a flagship store in Sydney’s CBD in late 2015. Tim Ho Wan will also launch in Melbourne at the end of April.
