Morrisons Bar and Oyster Room’s annual Oyster Festival is back this August and there’s plenty to do at the venue this year. Their Oyster fest celebrates the best of Australia’s Oysters producers with plenty of shucking good eats.

From Pacific oyster, the Sydney Rock oyster and uniquely giant Jurassic oyster – there’s plenty of fresh tasting oysters at the oyster fest. Oyster hour from 6-7pm where all oysters are $1 is magical.

Part of Morrison’s Oyster Festival is a whisky and oyster masterclass. At the launch, Masterchef’s whisky nerd Sean Baxter is on hand to showcase this oyster and talisker whisky match. Check out the details of the one off event below.

• Whisky and Oyster Masterclass – These two may seem like an odd duo, but we encourage you to come and sip on The Morrison’s finest whisky, slurp those deliciously smooth oysters, and enjoy the fun of two great delicacies coming together. The dedicated wait staff will be available to recommend the most appropriate combination of each to satisfy your taste buds. 18th August

• Shucking Station – Watch as Sean Connolly’s team of chefs expertly shuck your oysters to order, ask them for their top tips for getting the best out of these delicate little beauties.

• ‘Oyster Hour’ – Everyday; their ever popular Oyster Hour. Each day between 6pm and 7pm all oysters are $1 each.

• Beer, wine and cocktail specials throughout the month – match your favourite oysters with great wine flights, cocktails and beer specials.
