We quite like the Intercon double bay; having made our way here a couple of times now – and their Stillery Bar is a favourite – with a vast selection of topshelf Gin based cocktails in their very fancy hotel lounge. Its premo and fancy and we love it. Round the side is Stockroom and Sundays at Intercon DoubleBay’s Stockroom is a pretty lavish Perrier-Jouët Sunday Soiree. From 12-3pm, there’s a pretty solid premium buffet with a glass of Champers for $85. Bubblies lovers can opt for their endless pour option at an extra $60. We didn’t but the option is there.
The Stockroom space is deeply plush with high ceilings, fancy trims, classic furniture and deep pile carpets and the atmosphere in here is coolly elegant. Seats are generous spaced and you won’t feel crowded in there. We’re here for a buffet, we’re hungry so let’s have a quick run down on what we spot here.
From Pepe Saya buttermilk pancakes to fresh seafood (and oysters), the range is a pretty fantastic selection of premium produce. Seafood aficionados can easily satiate themselves on the seafood section but there’s plenty more from pies to roasts and a massive dessert selection. The charcuterie selection is also very nice with quality prosciutto and bresola on offer. Also here, a selection of sliders, ham or salmon hollandaise + bacon and then there’s a huge table for desserts and fresh fruit. There’s a build your own serve station that we went back for seconds at – there’s lots of bits you can pop into your icecream from baby meringues to lollies and then some. Creme Brulee and panacotta also at the ready to be devoured.
With quality produce, fantastic service and that fancy Intercon doublebay vibe, the Perrier-Jouët Sunday Buffet is a Sunday Funday we heartly recommend. 3 hours of premo foodie bliss.
