For the next 4 weeks, The Oaks in Neutral Bay will play host to St Hallets wines from the Barossa with wine flights and a curated Barossa inspired food venue designed by their exec chef Danny Russo. Expect an abundance of excellent wines from the Barossa and rich tasty shirazs. There’s wine flights to be had that will take you across the region. We’re back at the Oaks at the launch as Guests of The Oaks.

Only available at the launch is the fantastic St Hallets Black NV. A wonderful easy drinking Sparkling Shiraz that was a favourite of many an attendees. The taste is that of a rich shiraz but with the lightness of a sparkling wine. Easy drinking and delicious.
One of the highlights of the St Hallets Barossa Wines event at the Oaks is the Wine Flights that you’ll be able to go on; order on (price range across vintages – $18-24 for a trio) – We experienced the St Hallett Icon Flight $24 A tasting that took us across St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2008, St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2012, St Hallett Old Block Shiraz 2010. We also had the Flavouring of Shiraz Flight $16 Garden of Eden Shiraz 03, Butcher’s Cart Shiraz 2012 and a Blackwell Shiraz 2012. As we opted fo their Shirazs we were able in 1 sitting to cover a wide range of Hallet’s full bodied Reds.
Roasted Pork Belly Pizza ($21) Garlic Prawn Pizza ($21) are available from the Special St Hallet’s menu and both are delicious with plentiful of ingredients and a nice crispy base.

A long lunch is a tradition at St Hallett. Join senior winemaker Toby Barlow and the wines from St Hallett matched to a chef’s selection of dishes. Wine selection will include their famous Blackwell Shiraz & the iconic Old Block Shiraz with a special back vintage direct from the St Hallett cellar.
Starter – Chorizo corn dogs with smoked aioli &
Oysters, chardonnay vinegar & sea asparagus
Entree – Vongole, fregola, tomatoes, herbs & garlic
Main – Slow cooked lamb shoulder with salsa verde, spinach & lemon
Charred heirloom carrots, almond gremolata, rosemary & garlic potatoes plus mixed leaves
Dessert – The Oaks hazelnut & roast pear “Bombe Alaska”
