Sample Coffee Pro Shop St Peters – Located in the backstreets of St Peters (very near Willie the Boatman Brewer) is Sample Coffee’s 2nd cafe and this one’s housed in a generous warehouse space with a high ceiling, a clean simple aesthetes and the cafe is a coffee lovers delight being fantastically airy and light. One big surprise on a Wednesday arvo visit is the constant trickle in of customers despite its location. We were surprised but not considering how great Pro shop was. There’s clever use of the space, its not overly cluttered and there’s a cool elegance about the venue.
The large space is not overtly cluttered and the clean simple aesthetics is appealing with white walls and timber huges.
A range of beans on sale at Sample.
On the right hand wall, you can buy various brewing equipment with appropriate links/instructions on the items (that direct you to sample’s website for instructions).
The food menu is limited and changes every 2 weeks. Their pastry cabinet is front and center.
Pro shop’s menu. Its’ a simple menu that they take care of in the limited kitchen space here.
From manual pours, to espressos, batch brew and cold brew (which comes out of their taps here), the Sample Coffee Pro shop is a one stop coffee lovers delight. We had our Kenya Kiangoi AA both at once as an espresso and a batch brew and this was a great way to taste the differences in flavour “tasting notes: bright acidity, crisp red fruit, raspberry”.
Pro Shop is appealing with a good looking fitout and great coffee by sample. Their menu kicks in at 9am and its a simple range of delicious sounding eats. Check out the menu pic. Well worth visiting. Drop in Thursdays onwards and Willie the Boatman is open for business.
