Guilty Pleasures Friday March in Merivale
Every Friday from 8pm this March into Merivale, Merivale has brought UK’s biggest, boldest and brashest party, Guilty Pleasures to the Ivy. Ask anyone what their guilty pleasures are and you’d possibly find mentions of doughnuts, Krispy Crème Original Glaze to be exact, and just a wee bit of a over indulgence of red wine champers, dancing and good times. All this coupled with some funky live covers of Destiny’s Child “Say My Name” while wearing a feather boa and Storm Trooper mask. Well, be prepared to get debauched – with amusing admissions at the confessional booth that is set up inside Palings during “Guilty Pleasures” at the Ivy.
Starting from the entrance, Guilty Pleasures treats its guests to a night of sugary indulgence with a large Krispy Kreme doughnut wall alongside some seriously sexy dressups. What will end up being “most confessed” for the night was probably patrons outrageous intake of them doughnut. Guilty!
With the bar at the Ivy in full swing, Chandon and were invited to the delights of aerial acrobatics, performed in a fantastically fluorescent pink leotard that could only be described as a guilty pleasure in itself; 80s meets the flying sisters.
The entertainment continued with the Chandon Unplanned House Band, with the lower floor of the Ivy quickly filling.
Also present at Guilty Pleasure, Mr Confessional Priest who tonight took some time off from the “Guilty Pleasures Confessional” to have a dance, before inviting the crowd to confess their pleasures and welcoming them with a shot of holy vodka.
If after all the shameless indulgence you had still not been gratified, Madonna-esque ladies with their conical bras offered the chance to have #myguiltypleasure satisfied. With red wine in order, Miley, Channing and the biggest party girl of all, Britney, joined the night of debauchery. #MyGuiltyPleasure.
