Ghostboy Cantina Dixon Street Foodcourt
Located in the Dixon Street Foodcourt – a bit of a cheap eat haven (home also to Osan Ramen) is the newly opened Ghostboy Cantina. Its a funny one this – Ghostboy dishes up semi-fusiony Tacos that marries asian with mexican. That beansprouts on that beef taco. Curiously all this is a circa 1970s foodhall with timber clad columns and the food comes on chintzy plastic plates with asian artwork.
The Cantina itself unlike its adjacent neighbours has a rather stark menu – for starters, there’s no lightbox lit pics of food. There’s a limited menu here: 3 x Tacos, Corn, Salad, Chips.
Pork Taco with Peaches
Beef Taco with Sprouts
Top Right is the Cauliflower Taco. Corn. Not pictured, their serve of chips
The distinct lack of atmosphere in the foodhall, its no Tios and you won’t be knocking back tequila shots and drinking Tecate. The lack of more traditional fare like guacamole/chips /burrito is a bit puzzling but its still early days. We enjoyed the cauliflower most as it surprised with its flavour.
