TACO CHALLENGE @ El Loco. (ROUND 2)
$20 Bucks. 20 Minutes. How many can you eat?
This is the 2nd ever El Loco taco challenge and it drew a raucous crowd keen for a good night of taco consumption. Contestants paid, $20, were registered and given a bib where a fancy “contestant name” is scribbled on with a fluro marker. Not surprising; I registered as the Jugernauts although she wrote “judernauts”. My team of 5 consisted of Mexican Sunshine, De Leon, El Soph, and Lady Solicitor. The tally at the end of the session for my party was 10, 8, 6, 3 and 3. I ate that 10 tacos but spent the 1st 4 minutes laughing. So yeah. Could probably have still eaten more. Ate til the very last second where I devoured my 10th.
It was a very fun night out with a fete like quality. The hostess and crew were all outstanding during the taco challenge; ensuring that you always had food to eat; and goading you to eat more. Good natured food challenge.

Haberno Sauce, Lettuce, Soft Taco, Chicken with what tasted like light soy sauce. Quite yummy actually. The sauce had a bit of kick. It was so spicy that El Soph (Sophie) and Lady Solictor (A) bailed out at 3.
Near the 20 minute mark. De Leon @ 8 tacos. Mexican Sunshine @ 6. And yes, they’re both from Mexico originally. :) I think the look says it all.
El Pane… Guy has the air of someone who could eat. And… he won the evening with 15. Congrats!! FAMOUS!!
Assume there’ll be a round 3, I’ve heard that Mrs “De Leon” is keen to join after seeing the photos. I don’t think we’ll be seeing El Soph + Lady S.

Heh. Actually the credit goes to sophie who handled the camera while I was eating. Later during the comp I was more focused on eating and you’re pretty much just shovelling food in. Not pretty.
