EATSTREET Pub Life Kitchen x Sugarcane Restaurant
Pub Life Kitchen and Sugarcane Restaurant are throwing a Backyard Food Party and everyone’s invited to pop in for eats and drinks. Brought to you by the Jovan and Milan, the first Backyard Street Eats pitted Burgers versus banh mis and featured young henrys, natural wines and there’s even two different desserts. EatStreet is hosted in the rather large backyard space behind Sugarcane with entry via Forster Street. Eat Street kicks off from 11am [Free Entry]
Eat Street is packed and the vibe is very much like that of a backyard house party. Colourful buntings and top 40s tunes add to the festivities.
A look at the eats on offer being prepped. PLK brings their 200GSM cheeseburgers. And There’s two variants on the Banhmi’s – a pork one and a lamb. That Kewpie T-shirt tho.
A look at the Sugarcane Banh Mis. $12.Each with coal cooked lamb and pork. Very large, super tasty with smokey coal flavours and loads of aromats. Wished we’d gotten ouselves an extra to takeaway.
Spicy chicken winglets from Sugarcane. $8 This came from inside the kitchen – spicy tangy delicious and piping hot too.
Pub Life Cheeseburgers. They’re pretty great and Pub Life features in our top burgers in Sydney feature (see sidebar). Also Read about PLK here.
Desserts at Eat Street: A housemade Coconut Sorbet by Sugarcane and morish chocolate peanut butter brownie. $5 each an a great finish.
EAT STREET was a great time – fun backyard vibing with great eats outta both kitchens. There’s a good crowd here and a lively atmosphere We’re already looking forward to the next one.
