Bondi Hardware, the 1st of Applejack Hospitality’s small bar/restaurant empire (also including the botanist and socal) turns 2 and they threw a bit of a farewell summer birthday party. Packed to the brim with locals, media and celeb. It was very lively affair filled with edible sands, eats from their autumn menu, cocktails and a fun photobooth setup.
Bondi Hardware’s standing room only today. Hawaiian shirts on a lot of the men tonight.
Dress code was hawaiian and we all got leis.
Here’s their House pina colada (Hardware Hoola made with Ketel One Vodka, lime, coconut syrup, raspberry puree & cream) and a Vale IPA
excellent and tasty ceviche was served – they also had really great skewers and chicken wings. Also to be had: classic beef slider, pork & fennel sausage rolls, mac & cheese croquettes.
I’m guessing they’re wondering if they should eat:
Bondi, beach. There’s a bit of an edible sand here. (We think its crushed biscuits – tasted like it and really did look like sand)
Bondi Hardware’s shauno making cocktails.
Joe worth, Psy Impersonator Teddy Kim and Hamish Watts.
Gotta love a photobooth. These things are really just fun.
Bondi Hareware’s a great smallbar located on Hall street and the name references the hardware store that used to sit there. The interior is exposed brickwork, beams, high gabled ceilings and recycled timber and looks very appealing. We’ve previously dropped in and had cocktails and it was a nice to sit at the bar and grab drinks and have a chat with friendly bar staff.
Zombie Left, Geezer Right. Nice cocktails and was a great way to cap off the evening we had at Mr Moustache.
Happy 2nd Birthday Bondi Hardware!!
