Now open at 332 Victoria Street is the brightly effervescent and fun Bloody Marys. Imagine a joint dedicated to serving you delicious freshly made Bloody Marys and iterations of it with mini sliders, hot wings, caesar salad and then some in a well kitted out and stylish cafe venue and you have Bloody Marys. We had a great time brunching here – it was a leisurely goodtime sort of cafe and one we highly recommend. This joint is where a lot of celery comes to become garnish, plenty of them bloody marys flying out from the bar as we spent the arvo here.

A look around the venue. The red/white motif carries itself inwards – right to the sunny outdoor courtyard with its american flag styled cushions. There’s a big spice wall in the middle of the venue where you can go add all manners of spice and chilli to your bloody marys to spice things up. It’s really kinda cool.

We loved these cute little mini tabascos they had table side. When you go to a new venue, you’ll notice the little touches and this was it.

A glut of Bloody Marys drink shots: We had their Bloody Hell, a chilli infused vodka (tomato juice, lemon/lime, garlic, coriander root, palm sugar, fish sauce and yes, slider, buffalo wing and a prawn), Cancun (tomato juice, spice mix, vodka, celery, lime, prawn), Bloody Caesar, Clamato Juice, Spice mix, prawn, bacon, lemon and Cos Lettuce and their Bloody Pirate (Pampero Dark Rum, Tomato Juice, Spice Mix, Salt rim, orange and Celery). We gotta say, these were incredibly delicious – they made their own tomato juices and the freshness and zing and pop of the drinks just stood out. Wonderful business these drinks. Of course, we could have opted to spice up the drinks but they were really well balanced as is.

The now infamous Spamburger and a Chilli spanner crab pasta. We quite liked the spamburger, its a bit challenging for some but plenty of Hawaiians eat Spam and it’s a good change from the regular burgers you’d smash around town. The addition of the Grilled Tomato and abundance of bacon made for a savoury tasty burger. Chilli Spanner Crab pasta had plenty of crab in it and was a zingy delightful eat.

NYC Cheesecake and their Deep fried Oreos (There’s also a chocolate Pecan pie) round up the dessert items and we quite liked how the colouring on the NYC cheesecake just tied the dessert into the colour scheme of the venue with the splash of red with the strawberries. Deep Fried Oreos were just Dayummn.

Bloody Mary’s is the definition of a dining good time. Venue had a great vibe and they pumped out some great fun tunes and it made for a lively time here. We like this. We like this a lot.
