Batch Brewing Company is located in a warehouse located in Marrickville (as an aside we’re loving the rise of the innerwest food scene) and we’d previously read that you can get pizzas here but pizza’s no longer being served. Which was a shame. That said, every second saturday there’s a foodtruck here so you can get your booze with your eats. This was also our first experience of nighthawk, we’ve always seen it but we’re always full when we chance upon it. Its a good one with a rather delicious cheeseburger which we smashed with the beers.
Vats (inside) to the side. There’s a bit of room here but its small scale brewery.
The venue is a large shed, with a counter here and there’s live music and quite a bit of seating – couches near the bar and long tables where we’re standing
Fridge with various beers here and growlers. The growlers are $10 each and you fill them up per the board with respective costs.
A look at their beers – 6 active taps but there were limited edition cornholio beers in the fridge.
Growler to go.
Quite an enjoyable visit this was. Batch Brewery was packed on the Saturday evening and the band that was playing and the engaged liveliness of the venue and the couch seating made it seem like a bit of a laid back easy chill out sort of beer hall. The look of the venue is very industrial casual, and with a great vibe and beers – a bit of a beer hall to drop into. Well worth your time. And the next time, that foodtruck united thing’s on, we’re hitting the Nighthawk.
