Bar Surryhill sits in the existing Rydges Surryhills bar area – and has since relaunched as a new venue serving up Sydney Brewery brews (on tap – there are 6 of the SB beers -from their glamarama, surryhills pils to their ciders) at the island bar and Italian eats from the kitchen here. Outside on the street side, you’ll will see Sydney artist Mike Watts’ painting of a italian chef cooking.

The central island bar is largeish with fancy chandeliers, a large selection of spirits and 12 taps.

There’s a chacuterie/salami station here today and ham is being shave to order for the chacuterie platters

The range of eats here is now Italian and you can get tomato bruschetta – arancini balls ($9)

Bar Surryhills isn’t all beer – you can get your cocktails – here’s a paloma and a espresso martini.

There’s also pizza here and here you have a divola pizza – the round one is $12 and 12″. You can also get a 1 meter long version of all their pizzas here for $70.

Cannolis were largish, fresh and delicious. $4

Bar Surryhills is now open at Rydges Surry Hills and with cold beer, pizzas and pastas and a solid italian kitchen available.
