We went down on a trip to Melbourne for OHM Melbourne. Our mates suggested that we hit Cookie for dinner. Not really knowing what to expect – we walked into a venue we had previously seen in design mags.
Cookie is centrally located in the Melbourne CBD in a funky multi story building and a short hike upstairs. The venue is cavernous in the way that Melbourne Establishments can be. Its Rowdy and Vibey with cool looking Melbournites. The decor is a classy mix of modern cool and huge victorian era architecture. High Ceilings. Not like anything we have in Sydney.
Food here was Thai/Asian Fusion and priced around the $25-30 mark. Drinks and Cocktail prices about standard. The Five Spiced Fried Chicken tasted like fried chicken.. but the sidedish of pickles and cabbage was delicious. Lamb Curry was very good with melting meat and flavoursome sauce. Their Whisky Sour was nice and we got one with Double Cherry.
Cookie had a cool vibe and was good to have a dinner in. It was filled with a lively happy clientele. Venue was packed – Table Service a tad sparse but this joint’s nice. We rate it.
