Located at the business end of town is Bowery Lane. Its tucked away what is a large coporate building but it’s anything but a corporate commercial kitchen. We’re here for a tasting and the range and diversity of eats at Bowery Lane is really great – and doing so at price points that really don’t scream this side of Sydney. It’s delicious, well cooked modern Bistro styled eats. There’s a selection of larger shared plate styled eats. Dinner for 3-4 will come in at $30-40 (excluding drinks). Considering what is on offer here, we loved Bowery Lane. Friends we’ve sent this way have come back raving. Worth your time and money.

Their $22 softshell crab burger is wonderful. Great bun and the tempura crab is crunchy and good eating.

Shared plate : 1kg Braised Wagyu Short Rib and Lamb shoulder. Both these were examples of great meat cookery. Large serves designed for 3-4 to share. Great value too at $55. We loved this.

Ordered the cookies and cream dessert and this jar came. Its reminiscent of the Blackstarpastry Truffle weekend dish in presentation. Yumminess.

Bowery Lane also has a nice cocktail selection with resident mixologist Martin Bobok churning out pretty good cocktails. We had the SouthSide Gangster and its fresh perky and delicious. Nothing to scoff at.

The price point game at Bowery Lane is pretty much spot on for a great affordable lunch/dinner eat. Great for the night out and dinner with friends – the larger shared plate dishes were substantial. A great addition to the Sydney dining scene. We dig it.

Can you believe this place is right next to my work and I never even knew?! I went with out of town friends who had booked ahead and we loved it. That soft shell crab burger was ah-mazing. It was super busy on the Friday night we went so my tip is to book ahead!
